I still can't believe I'm doing this! I am probably the least technologically-minded person using the Web today, and I very much have the Web 1.0 mentality. This could be the start of a new world for me -- just watch me go!
Well, I'm glad my style meets with so much approval. I chose it mainly for the central strip (not the right term, I'm sure) which reminded me of the early modern manuscripts I work on. I'm not so sure about the side strips, which look more 70s every time I see them. But being from the 70s needn't be such a bad thing!
If you look at my blog, I managed to remove the floral pattern. Very easy to do, you can just alter the template. You choose Layout/Edit HTML, and then you need to find the reference to the background image file and take it out. If you are phased by looking at the html code, let me know on Monday and I can give you a hand.
Great stuff Gillian! :o)

I agree that your background is gorgeous - makes me feel right at home. I'm with you with regard to the trepidation too!!
